Tesla Dashcam Recording Loop Duration Explained

Tesla keeps a rolling buffer called RecentClips so you always have the last stretch of driving. On current Model 3 and Model Y software, that buffer is one hour long, saved in one-minute chunks. When you save a clip, the last 10 minutes are copied into SavedClips so they do not get overwritten by the loop. If your drive is nearly full, the car may stop saving new clips, so leave extra headroom.
