Tesla Dashcam USB Write Speed Too Slow

Tesla's manual calls for a USB drive that can sustain at least about 4MB per second, and many cheap drives cannot hold that speed.

Tesla's manual calls for a USB drive that can sustain at least about 4 MB per second, and many cheap drives cannot hold that speed. The quickest way to confirm is to run a test on your computer with CrystalDiskMark or Blackmagic Disk Speed Test. If write speed is the issue, upgrade to a high-endurance microSD card (Samsung PRO Endurance, SanDisk Max Endurance) or a small SSD like the Samsung T7 Shield. Once you meet the sustained write speed, dashcam errors usually go away.
